OBJECTIVES

Topgolf, a global sports entertainment company with 100 million fans worldwide, 52 venues across the world, and emerging brands that extend the Topgolf experience and technology to multiple destinations, continues to innovate in order to create ‘moments that matter’ for it’s fans.

To further this effort, the company has launched a nationwide esports platform in the U.S., and is building spaces inside select Topgolf venues to host esports events, and partnering with a leading esports event promoter to program these spaces. Topgolf was interested in monetizing the new esports strategy through a partnership.

RESULTS

Connect identified TCL, the fastest growing TV brand in North America, as a prospective partner for this initiative. TCL was interested in reaching the tech-savvy, Millennial and Gen Z gaming community and authentically integrating the company’s technology into their gaming experience.

Connect, Topgolf and TCL collaborated to create a curated partnership that gives TCL entitlement to Topgolf’s esports lounges, as well as a national platform to reach the company’s desired demographic, while authentically reaching esports fans in an inclusive gaming environment and showcasing TCL technology to these prospective customers. Topgolf and TCL expect the partnership to reach over 63 million guests annually over the multi year partnership.
